Adam Trautman NFL Early Life

In Williamsburg, Michigan, in the United States, Trautman was born on February 5, 1997. Rod and Lori Trautman are his parents. Andrew and Alex are his two brothers. In Elk Rapids High School, Trautman participated in basketball and football while earning All-County honors in each sport. As a senior, he was voted the Lake Michigan Conference Player of the Year after breaking every significant school passing record.

After graduating from high school, he enrolled at the University of Dayton where he played college football for the Dayton Flyers. He wore a redshirt during his true freshman year, but the following year, as a redshirt freshman, he caught 24 receptions for 238 yards and three touchdowns. His performance in his sophomore season, which featured 43 receptions for 537 yards and five touchdowns, earned him a spot on the second team of the Pioneer Football League.

He led the team as a junior with 41 receptions, 604 yards, and nine touchdowns. He was once more named second-team All-PFL. As a senior, he made the first team All-PFL and had 70 receptions for 916 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also won the PFL Offensive Player of the Year award. In total, he had 171 receptions for 2,295 yards and 31 touchdowns during his college career. Trautman participated at the 2020 Senior Bowl, receiving two receptions before declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft.

As the 105th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Trautman was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the third round. In that year’s draft, he was the first football player from Dayton. On September 13, 2020, he played in his first NFL game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, marking the first time in 45 years that a player from Dayton had participated in an NFL game.

On September 21, 2020, during Monday Night Football against the Las Vegas Raiders, he made his first professional reception, catching a 17-yard pass. He recorded his first career touchdown reception in Week 9’s 38-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, when he had three grabs for 39 yards. Pro Football Focus named him the top rookie tight end and the best run-blocking tight end in the NFL after he ended his rookie season with 15 receptions on 16 targets for 171 yards and one touchdown.

As the Saints’ starting tight end heading into the 2021 season, Trautman. He was activated in December 2021 after being placed on injured reserve in November 2021. Trautman is not married. He is also not engaged to anyone and is not dating either. He has no children.
