Heard was born on April 22, 1986, to Patricia Paige and David Clinton Heard, the owner of a construction company, in Austin, Texas, in the United States. She grew up riding horses, going hunting and fishing with her father, who trained horses in his spare time. She took part in beauty pageants as well.
