Anquan Boldin, a former wide receiver in American football, played 14 seasons in the National Football League. His full name is Anquan Kenmile Boldin Sr (NFL).
Early Life
Boldin was born to Carl and Brenda on October 3, 1980 in Pahokee, Florida. He played football in high school at Pahokee High School. Because of his prowess as a quarterback, he was named Mr. Football in Florida in 1998. He played football for Florida State University’s Florida State Seminoles from 1999 to 2002. He was switched to wide receiver so that he would get more playing time. In 23 games when he was a wide receiver, he hauled in 118 receptions for 1,790 yards, 21 touchdowns, and an average of 15.2 yards per catch.

Career
With the 54th overall choice in the 2003 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals selected Boldin in the second round. He established an NFL record as a rookie for the most receiving yards by a rookie in his debut game. He was selected in 2007 to the Florida High School Association All-Century Team, which was made up of the greatest 33 players in the state of Florida’s high school football history going back a century.
He was acquired by the Baltimore Ravens in a trade in March 2010. He consented to a $25 million, three-year deal with a $10 million guarantee. He was acquired by the San Francisco 49ers in a trade in March 2013. A new $12 million, two-year contract between Boldin and the 49ers was reached the following year, keeping Boldin in San Francisco. He signed a contract with the Detroit Lions in July 2016.
He agreed to a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills in August 2017 after the season. Boldin left the club abruptly less than two weeks after joining it because he wanted to devote more time to humanitarian activity. On October 14, 2019, he formally announced his retirement from the Baltimore Ravens. His wife, Dionne Boldin, and he have two kids together: Anquan, Jr., who was born in 2004, and Ashton Boldin, who was born in 2010. Additionally, he has a brother, DJ Boldin, who is also an offensive assistant for the San Francisco 49ers and now serves as the head football coach at NCAA Division II Lake Erie College.
