Anthony Kiedis was born November 3, 1962 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At the age of ,his parents divorced. His father relocated to Hollywood alone-perhaps to give fuel to his aspiration of becoming an actor. Anthony was brought up by his mother Margaret (“Peggy”) in Grand Rapids. His mother later remarried, leading to the births of Kiedis’s two half-sisters. Kiedis, Slovak, and Flea began to create music together in the early ’80. They later brought their friend and former classmate Jack Irons on board.
