Ben Affleck is an American actor, screenwriter, producer and director. Ben has approximately $150 million in net worth. Ben is best known for authoring and starring in “Good Will Hunting” as well as “Argo”.
Steve and Matt Damon received an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for “GoodWill Hunting”. He was decorated with Best Picture Academy prize for “Argo”. He has earned several millions of dollars in salary over the course of his career. Ben bagged a jaw-dropping $15 million from 2003 movie ‘Paycheck’.

Early Life
Benjamin Géza Affleck-Boldt was born on 15th August, 1972 in Berkeley, California. His parents are Chris and Tim Affleck. Ben’s family relocated to Falmouth, Massachusetts at the age of three. His younger brother Casey was born during this time. The family later settled for good in Cambridge.
His family was involved heavily in the arts in Cambridge. Ben and his brother were introduced to the theater at a very young age. The brothers attended theatre performances regularly spending time with the workers at the theatre as well.
Ben’s mother wanted her son to become a teacher albeit supported Ben to act. His mother made her local casting friend arrange for auditions for her boys. Ben forged a very strong friendship bond with Matt Damon at the age of eight. The pals took acting classes together and later launched careers together.

Career
Ben Affleck starred in “Voyage of the Mimi” and “Second Voyage of the Mimi” between the ages of 8 to 15 working in Cambridge and Mexico in the process. He appeared in “Wanted: A Perfect Man” at the age of 14 and “Hands of a Stranger” at the age of 15.
Ben attended Cambridge Ridge and Latin School graduating in 1990. He played minor roles in several movies after graduation. His bulky frame meant that he often the role of a bully or jock. He played the role of a football player in “Against the Grain” and “Body to Die For: The Aaron Henry Story”.
Ben’s career was launched by “Good Will Hunting” a film he co-wrote and acted alongside his close pal Matt Damon. The script started as an assignment given to Damon as part of his playwriting course. The friends worked to broaden it into a screenplay. Not happy with the minor roles they were given, the friends wanted to work on a project where they could call the shots.
Castle Rock finally accepted the script in 1994 after a couple of failed attempts. Castle Rock was reluctant in giving Ben and Matt the creative control role the duo wanted. The friends finally took the screenplay to Miramax where they were assured of greater creative room.
Owing to the success of “Good Will Hunting” Ben got bigger and better roles in subsequent movies. One of such bigger and better gigs was “Armageddon”. Other commercially successful films include “Shakespeare in Love”, “Pearl Harbor”, “The Sum of All Fears” and “Changing Lanes”.

Personal Life
Ben has been linked with several big Hollywood names. He dated singer Jennifer Lopez between 2002 and 2004 becoming the tabloid’s favorites as a result. The lovers were not spared the scrutiny of the media.
Ben was not comfortable with the constant scrutiny from the media. The lovers got engaged in 2002 only to cancel their planned wedding owing to excessive media focus. The two went their separate ways in 2004.
