Brian Douglas Williams was born on May 5, 1959 in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Brian is the youngest of four siblings. He was raised in a predominantly Catholic home with Irish descent. Brian worked as an intern at the White House before he started working for the National Association of Broadcasters. Brian cut his teeth in broadcasting in 1981 at KOAM-TV Kansas. He later worked as a general assignment reporter at WTTG-TV in Washington, DC. He later moved to WCAU in Philadelphia and later WCBS in New York City. He had his break in 1993 after he joined NBC News as an anchor on the program “Weekend Nightly News”. Brian was soon promoted to the position of chief White House Correspondent.
