He is best recognized for his roles as Walter White in the AMC criminal drama series Breaking Bad and Hal in the Fox sitcom Malcolm in the Middle. Cranston participated in the chemical club as a student at Canoga Park High School. Later, in 1976, he earned an associate’s degree in police science from Los Angeles Valley College. After enrolling in a Los Angeles Valley College elective acting course, he was inspired to pursue a career in acting.
