Caleb Ray Farley plays cornerback for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League in American football (NFL). He stands 1.88 m tall and weights 89 kg. He began playing in the NFL in 2021.

Early Life

In North Carolina, a state in the United States, Farley was born on November 2, 1998. He was raised by Robert and Robin Farley. Joshua, his only sibling, competed in track and field at Appalachian State. Farley played quarterback for Maiden High School’s football team. In 2016, he received the Southern District 7 Player of the Year award. He received second team all-state recognition and ran for 2,574 yards in a single season, which is a Maiden school record. In addition to his 1,776 passing yards and 21 passing touchdowns, Rushed for 37 touchdowns.

He had the third-most touchdowns in a season in North Carolina annals with 58 in all. In his junior year, he ran for 1,534 yards and 18 touchdowns while also passing for 1,831 yards and 20 scores. He finished with 10,425 total yards and 124 scores for his career. In order to play college football, he pledged to Virginia Tech. He participated in football for the Virginia Tech Hokies while attending the university. While a freshman at Virginia Tech in 2017, he had planned to play wide receiver, but a torn ACL prevented him from participating in the 2017 season.

When he made a full recovery from the injury in 2018, he was switched to the cornerback position and completed the year with 36 tackles, two interceptions, and a sack. He made 20 tackles, four interceptions, and a score in 2019, earning him a spot on the first team All-ACC. In 2020, he returned to Virginia Tech for his junior season, but he eventually decided against going because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Career

With the 22nd overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans selected Farley. He signed a four-year, $13.945 million contract with the Titans in May 2021 that was completely guaranteed. He was added to the roster of non-football injuries in July, just before training camp. In August 2021, after passing a medical, he was taken off the non-football injury list.

He tore his ACL in Week 6 and was put on season-ending injured list in October 2021. As a reserve cornerback for the Titans, Farley began the 2022 campaign. He participated in nine games before Week 10 when he experienced a ruptured disk in his back. On November 15, 2022, he was put on injury reserve.
