Catherine Bach
Catherine Bach, born Catherine Bachman is an American actress. Her net worth is estimated at $10 million. Catherine is best known for playing the iconic character “Daisy Duke” in the TV series “Dukes of Hazzard” in 1979. Her name is also synonymous with “Margo Dutton”, a character she played in the 1992 series “African Skies”.
Her fame and popularity gained international stature in 2012 after casting in the popular C.B.S. soap opera, “The Young and the Restless”.
Early Life
Catherine Bachman was born on March 1st, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio. Her mother Norma Jean Kucera was an acupuncturist whiles her father Warren was a rancher. She has German and Mexican roots. She spent her childhood days partly with her parents and grandparents.
Catherine Bach went to high school in Rapid City, South Dakota. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she majored in drama. Whiles at UCLA, she sewed clothing to support herself.
Career
Bachman started her career at a young age. She appeared in productions like, “The Sound of Music”, “The Midnight Man” alongside Burt Lancaster in 1973 and “Thunderbolt and Lightfoot” in 1974. Bach played the character of “Daisy Duke” in “The Dukes of Hazzard” which aired on 26th January, 1979. She became very instrumental in the series winning many fans. Catherine sold five million of a poster as Daisy Duke. The tall, beautiful actress insured her legs for $100,000 while on the show.
Around the 1980’s, the Duke of Hazard came to an end. Bach made appearances on series such as “Monk” and the film “You Again” in the early 2000’s. She made a return to TV in 2012 playing a role in the soap opera “The Young and the Restless”. Catherine Bach has also played several roles since 2015. These include; “The Breakup Girl”, “Hustle”, “Crazed”, “Street Justice”, “Driving Force”, “Masters of Menace”, “The Nutt House”, “Chapman”, “Book of Fire” among others.
Personal Life
Catherine Bach got married to David Shaw in 1976. The couple went their separate ways in 1981. Catherine re-married in 1990 to Peter Lopez who was an entertainment lawyer. The couple had two children; Laura and Sophia. Peter Lopez sadly passed bringing the marriage to a natural end. Catherine remains unmarried till now.
