In Memphis, Tennessee, Cedrick Wilson was born on November 20, 1995. In Memphis, Tennessee, Wilson attended White Station High School. He joined the football squad there and started at quarterback.
He earned the starting position as a senior, compiling 731 passing yards, seven passing touchdowns, 268 running yards, two rushing scores, and five interceptions. He earned recognition as a second-team 16-AAA All-District player and 6A All-State selection while guiding his team to the Division 6A semifinals.

The Dallas Cowboys selected Wilson in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft (208th overall). Wilson was released on August 31, 2019, after Devin Smith passed him on the depth chart. On September 13, he was added to the active roster, taking Tavon Austin’s place as the No. 5 receiver after Austin was ruled out for Week 2 due to a concussion, he sustained in the season opener.

Wilson’s role in the offense improved in 2021 as a result of teammate Michael Gallup missing half the season due to injury, making Wilson the major deep-ball threat. Wilson caught a 73-yard touchdown reception in Week 8’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, which the Cowboys won 20-16.
