Chuck Liddell is a retired American mixed martial artist and former Ultimate Fighting Championship Light Heavyweight Champion. He has about $12 million in net worth as of this writing. Chuck is famous for his days in the ring. He fought 23 times during his days in the ring. He is a pioneer in mixed martial arts in the UFC, together with the likes of Randy Couture. At the time, UFC was still not known and patronized globally as it is now. He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2009.

Charles David Liddell was born on December 17, 1969 in Santa Barbara, California. Chuck was brought up by his mother in a family that had Irish heritage. His grandfather was also instrumental in his upbringing, introduced Chuck to boxing at a young age. He began taking karate lessons at the age of 12. He took his chance at a number of athletic pursuits during his days in high school. Chuck played the position of a linebacker and a center for his school’s team and also represented his school in wrestling. During his days at uni, he became a Division I college wrestker. He cut his teeth in UFC with a fight against Now Hernandez in 1998. Chuck after a couple of victories lost to Jeremy Horn, but at this time, he had managed to position himself as one of the most exciting new entrant fighters in the UFC. He had won against Kevin Randleman, Vitor Belfort, Tito Ortiz and many others. Chuck had his very first shot at the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship in 2002 with a fight against Randy Couture. He lost that fight with the referee intervening. Chuck bounced back with a win in the Pride Middleweight Grand Prix in 2003, defeating Alistair Overeem in the veru first round before eliminated by Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. He assumed the role of a coash in 2005 in the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter” before fighting Randy Couture for the second time that same year for the light heavyweight title. He knocked Couture out with a right han and won the UFC Heavyweight Championship for the first time. Chuck defended his title against Jeremy Horn -Horn had beaten him earlier in his career. After losing three consecutive fights by knockout coupled with calls from family and friends, Chuck decided to retire on December 29, 2010. He announced his retirement at the UFC 125 press conference. He stated that he would be assuming the role of Vice President of Business Development within the UFC.

Chuck has a daughter named Cade with MMA fighter Casey Noland. He proposed to his girlfriend Heidi Northcott on November 4, 2010. The lovers welcomed their daughter Guinevere in 2011. The couple welcomed their son Charles david Liddell Jr. in 2013.
