Playing Brian De Palma in the infamous and iconic Bruce Springsteen video “Dancing in The Dark” seemed to have been the magic wand that gave her the breakthrough she was looking for. Sooner that she probably expected, she a member of the cast of the highly successful sitcom, “Family Ties” playing the role of Michael J. Fox’s girlfriend.

She dated Snow Patrol for sometime before getting engaged to him in 2014. They made their intentions of breaking up known in 2019 although the two are still engaged in a serious relationship.
