David Beckham is a retired English footballer. Together with his wife, singer/designer Victoria Beckham they have approximately $450 million in net worth. He made his professional debut at the age of 17 playing for Manchester United for nine seasons. During his nine seasons at Manchester United, the club won the Premier League six times, the FA Cup twice and the coveted UEFA Champions League once.
Beckham was sold to Real Madrid, Spanish football giants in 2003. In 2007, he put pen to paper and signed a five-year contract with Los Angeles Galaxy becoming the highest-paid player in the Major League Soccer (MLS). He made a return to Europe after a short stint playing on loan for 2009/10 season.
He was made the captain of the England national team from 2000 to 2006. Beckham made a return to the national squad in 2008 but not as a captain this time representing the Three Lions in qualifying matches for the 2010 world cup held in South Africa.

Early Life
David Beckham was born on May 2, 1975 in London. He was born to David Edward “Ted” Beckham a kitchen fitter and Sandra a hairdresser. He is the second of three children. her two sisters are Lynne Georgina and Joanne Louise. He was never in doubt of what he wanted to do from a very young age.
Beckham’s parents are unalloyed Manchester United supporters. He got the opportunity very early in his life as part of a talent hunt to train with Barcelona. He began his career by playing for a local youth team called the Ridgeway Rovers. His dad doubled was one of the team’s coaches. In 1986, he was the mascot for a match between Manchester United and WestHam FC.
Beckham got named the Under-15 Player of the Year in 1990 before signing a Youth Training Scheme with Manchester United.

Career
Beckham’s sterling performance in the FA Youth Cup championship game earned him a dream debut on 23rd September, 1992 in a league match against Brighton and Hove Albion. January 23, 1993 saw him sign as a professional at the age of 17. On December 7, 1994, he made his first full time appearance on Manchester United’s first team against Port Vale.
His UEFA Champions League debut debut against Galatasaray at home. He scored to cap a momentous debut. He was sent on loan to Preston North End for first team experience. He featured in five matches scoring two goals in the process. Beckham returned to Manchester United on April 2, 1995 and made his premier league debut.
Manchester finished second behind Blackburn Rovers. Beckham cemented himself as the club’s midfielder and played an instrumental role in their winning of the Premier League Title and FA Cup double in 1995/96 season. On the first day of the season, he scored a goal from an incredible 60 yards goal against Wimbledon becoming a household name in the process. Manchester retained the title that season.
Beckham is easily considered one of the best footballers in history. He debuted for Real Madrid in 2003 and played with them until 2007. He moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to play for LA Galaxy until 2012. During this time he was on loan to Milan. In 2013, he represented Paris Saint Germain, his final season in the game. On May 16, 2013, he went public about his decision to retire from professional football at the end of Paris Saint Germain’s football season.

Beckham married singer and former Spice Girl Victoria Adams who was also known as Posh Spice. Beckham and Victoria Beckham have four children namely Brooklyn Joseph, Romeo James, Cruz David and Harper Seven together.
Beckham is a highly sought-after model and spokesperson. He has represented companies like Pepsi, Calvin Klein, Adidas, Vodafone, Gillette and others. He was Google’s most-searched sports-related search term in 2003 and 2004. He suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
