Dee Snider
Dee Snider is an American singer, songwriter, actor, screenwriter, radio personality and a rock vocalist. His net worth is estimated at approximately $7 million. He popularity soared in the early 1980s.
Dee Snider was the lead singer of the band, “Twisted Sister”. He joined the group immediately after he graduated from high school. Snider enjoyed a long and very illustrious career spanning about 50 years.
Early Life
Daniel Snider was born on March 15th, 1955 in Astoria, Queens, New York. He was born to Bob and Marguerite. Snider and his siblings were brought up in the Episcopal church. He went to Baldwin Senior High School. He was part of the choir. Snider was selected for the All-State Chorus as a result of his vocal prowess.
Career
Snider became an integral part of the metal band “Twisted Sister”. The group came out with their maiden album, “Under the Blade” which got them huge following in the UK. The Twisted Sister released the album, “Stay Hungry” in 1984.
Snider established an unmistakable persona of long-curly blonde hair as well as metal-inspired makeup, with eye shadow, rouge and red lipstick. In the mid 1980s, MTV launched “Heavy Metal Mania” with Snider hosting the maiden edition in 1985.
In 1987, “Love Is for Suckers” initially a solo project for Snider was released by the group. The album was scheduled to be the group’s last work together.
In 1987, Snider officially went public about his exit from the group. He later forming the “Desperado”. The group recorded the album “Ace” which never got released. Snider established the “widow-maker” with Russel, drummer Joe Franco and guitarist Al Pitrelli. The group recorded, “Stand By for Pain” and “Blood and Bullets” albeit with little success.
Personal Life
Snider got married to costume designer Suzette in 1981. They have four children namely; Jesse, Shane, Cody and Cheyenne.
