Ereck Flowers Early Life
Flowers was born on April 25, 1994, to Tanya Stokes and Everald Flowers in Miami, Florida, the United States. He first attended Krop High School, where he excelled in basketball before turning his attention to football in his junior year. He moved to Norland High School for his final year, where he joined a quality varsity team.

He attended the University of Miami after high school and played football for the Miami Hurricanes. He participated in all 12 games at right tackle as a true freshman in 2012. He started every one of the 12 games as left tackle as a sophomore in 2013. In 2014, he came back as the left tackle. He declared in December 2014 that he would miss his senior year and sign with the NFL for the 2015 season.

In the 2015 NFL Draft, the New York Giants chose Flowers with the ninth overall pick in April. He committed to the Giants in June of that year, signing a $4 million, 4-year deal. During his rookie season, he played in 15 games and was given the left tackle starting job for the Giants in Week 1. He would have been a free agent in 2019 had the Giants not exercised his fifth-year option in May 2018. Flowers was scheduled to be released by the Giants in October 2018 if a trade with another team couldn’t be reached. He was formally cut go by the Giants the next day. As the Jacksonville Jaguars signed him to a one-year contract in 2018, he was never able to negotiate a free agent contract for the following season.
Flowers agreed to a $4 million, one-year deal with the Washington Redskins in March 2019. He agreed to a three-year, $30 million contract with the Miami Dolphins in March 2020. The team put him on the COVID-19 reserve list on August 2, 2020, and on August 15 he was activated. He was traded to the Washington Football Team in April 2021. He had to miss the team’s Week 17 game against the Philadelphia Eagles after being put on the COVID-19 reserve list in December 2021. Flowers was reinstated to the active roster in January 2022 but was later let go on March 16 of that same year.
