Early Life
Erica Girardi was born on June 10, 1971 in Atlanta, Georgia. She is known professionally as Erika Jayne. Erica Girardi was raised by her single mother Renee Chahoy. She attended North Atlanta High School.
Erica Jayne moved to Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 18 to pursue her career. She moved to Los Angeles where she worked as a bar attendant.
Career
In 2007, Erica Girardi decided to kick life into her music career. She released a song titled, “Roller Coaster” which occupied the number spot on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Party chart. Tom, a man she met whiles working as a bar attendant in Los Angeles virtually bank-rolled Erika’s music career into life.
Erica later released nine singles that occupied the number 1 spot on the US Billboard Dance Chart. Erica became part of the cast of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” in 2015. She leveraged on the opportunity to promote her music.
Personal Life
After dating for a while, Tom and Erika got married in 2000 at the Los Angeles Country Club. Tom was grappling with a battle with his first wife during the same time the two got married. Tom and Erica made public their decision to separate in November, 2020.
The early part saw Tom and Erika involved in a number of bankruptcy issues. Several creditors of their sued for repayment. These included, a security company that protected their home in Pedanta, his first claiming $10,000 monthly alimony, former law partners, and others. This rendered the couple financially unsound. Tom and his law firm were forced into involuntary bankruptcy in 2020.
