American football player Haason Reddick competes for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League as an outside linebacker. (NFL). He stands 1.85 meters tall and weights 109 kg. His professional journey began in 2017.

Haason Reddick NFL Early Life

The son of Raelakia Reddick and Raymond Matthew, Reddick was born and raised in New Jersey on September 22, 1994. It is unclear what the names of his seven siblings are. Reddick participated in football for the Garnets of the Haddon Heights High School, where he was a defender and a running back. A fractured femur prevented him from playing in more than four games during his final season. Later on, he attended Temple University and participated in collegiate football for the Temple Owls. During his first year of college, he played running back and safety. His first game activity came in 2013, after he wore a redshirt for the 2012 season. After compiling 65 tackles and 10.5 sacks as a defensive end as a senior in 2016, he was awarded First-team All-AAC.

Reddick was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine as a defensive end and went through all the necessary exercises. With the 13th overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals selected him in the first round. He signed a four-year, completely guaranteed contract worth $13.4 million with the Cardinals in June 2017 along with a $7.94 million signing bonus. In the Arizona Cardinals’ 35-23 loss to the Detroit Lions, he made his regular season debut in the NFL and earned his first career start. He also set a season high with eight combined tackles. He would have become a free agent in 2021 had the Cardinals not exercised his fifth-year option on his deal in May 2020.

He agreed to a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers in March 2021. He agreed to a three-year, $45 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles in March 2022. Reddick earned 1.5 sacks in the 24-8 victory in Week 3 of the season against the Washington Commanders, which also included a forced fumble. He recorded two sacks in the 2022 NFC Championship Game and caused Brock Purdy, the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, to fumble an important pass. In the process, Purdy hurt his throwing arm, making it difficult for him to throw the ball accurately, which eventually caused the 49ers to lose to the Eagles 31-7. Eagles made it to Super Bowl LVII. Reddick was only able to make one stop for the Eagles in their 38-35 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
