Jeffery Simmons Sr. And Brenda gave birth to Simmons on July 28, 1997, in Lasalle, Louisiana, in the United States. He has two sisters, Brooke and Ashley, as well as one brother, Dylan. He attended Noxubee County High School for both his high school education and football career. He was a five-star prospect after a stellar high school playing career at Noxubee County High School and chose Mississippi State over Ole Miss and Alabama. He participated in football for the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Mississippi. As a true freshman in 2016, he participated in 12 games and started three of them. He had a breakthrough season in 2017, as the 2017 All-SEC football team unanimously selected him. Simmons announced his intent to enter the 2019 NFL Draft in December.

The Tennessee Titans selected Simmons with the 19th overall choice in the 2019 NFL Draft. He committed to a four-year, $12.66 million rookie deal in May 2019 with a $7.23 million signing bonus and a team option for an additional year. In order to heal from his ruptured ACL, he was put on the reserve/non-football injury list to begin the 2019 season. He was reinstated off the non-football injury list by the Titans in October 2019. The following day, he played in his first NFL game against the Los Angeles Chargers. He made 4 tackles in the game. He recorded his first season sack against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3 of the 2020 campaign.
In October 2020, the team put Simmons on the reserve/COVID-19 list, and he was then activated the following month. Against the Chicago Bears in Week 9, he made running back David Montgomery fumble, which teammate Desmond King recovered and returned for a 63-yard score. In recognition of his work, Simmons was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week. On April 27, 2022, the Titans exercised Simmons’ fifth-year option. He extended his Titans deal for four years and $94 million in April 2023. Simmons is not married yet. He is not engaged to anyone and is also not dating. He currently has no children.
