John Christopher Depp II was born on 9th June, 1963 in Owensboro, Kentucky, USA. Johnny has three older siblings. After shuttling between neighborhoods, his family finally settled in Miramar, Florida.
A guitar his mother gifted him at the age of 12 ignited an interest in music, he began to play in bands at this time. Johnny did a full-time switch to music when he dropped out of school to become a rock musician. After his band, The Kids split, Johnny shifted interest to acting.

Career
Johnny debut appearance in a movie happened in 1984 in “A Nightmare on Elm Street”. He had his breakthrough in the Fox television series “21 Jump Street” reportedly receiving $45,000 per episode. Johnny’s fame was bolstered greatly.
Johnny played the title character in “Edward Scissorhands” in 1990 giving him immense recognition industry-wide. It was this that made him a leading Hollywood actor as well as set forth a long relationship with Burton.
Some of his works include “Benny and Joon” (1993), “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape” (1993), “Don Juan DeMarco” (1995), “Donnie Brasco” (1997), “Sleepy Hollow” (1999), as well as “Chocolat” (2000). Johnny was reunited with Burton in 2004 in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, “Corpse Bride”.

Johnny dated Kate Moss from 1994 to 1998 before starting a relationship with Vanessa Paradis. In 2012, Johnny separated from Paradis. He was romantically involved with actress Amber Heard whom he met on the set of “The Rum Diary” in 2011. They two got married in 2015 and divorced in 2016 on ground of verbal and physical abuse. Johnny paid Heard a settlement of $7 million finalizing the divorce in 2017.
