Josh Duhamel is an American actor and former fashion model. He has approximately $18 million in net worth as of this writing. Josh rose to fame in the latter part of the 90s. Joshua David Duhamel was born on November 14, 1972 in Minot, North Dakota. Joshua’s mother was a teacher and a local businesswoman and his father was an advertising salesman. After his parents divorced while he was very young, he spent a large chunk of his young life with his three sisters- Ashlee, Kassidy and Mckenzie and his mother. Joshua was in close contact with his father as well during this time. Joshua is of French-Canadian, Irish, English, Austrian and Norwegian descent. Joshua attended Minot State University in his hometown of Minot, North Dakota. He played as the quarterback of the school during his days there. Joshua had nurtured the plan of going to dental school but dropped out of college just one and a half credits shy from receiving his undergraduate degree. In 2005, he received his degree after returning and doing the remainder. He states jokingly, “followed an ex-girlfriend to Northern California” instead of finishing college.

Joshua started a career in modeling whiles in California. he was crowned an International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) competition in 1997 which named Josh as the Made Model of the Year. Joshua cut his teeth in acting with music videos. Joshua was an extra in the video for Donna Summer’s song “I Will Go With You” and Christina Aguilera’s “Genie in a Bottle” in 1999. After his training with Scott Sedita Acting Studio, he landed the role of Leo du Pres on the ABC soap opera “All My Children”. His performance in the opera received a lot of plaudits and actually earned him and Budig at the Daytime Emmy Awards in 2003 for Special Fan Award for America’s Favorite Couple. Joshua’ outing on “All My Children” fetched him nominations for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor both in 2001 and 2003. Joshua won the award in 2002. He left “All My Children” in 2002 scouting for acting opportunities, he was star in the NBC show “Las Vegas” playing the role of Danny McCoy- the head of security for the Montecito Casino which role he kept until the series ended in 2008. His sterling performance on Las Vegas won him a nomination for the Teen Choice Award for Choice Breakout TV Star – Male. Joshua was also nominated for Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Actor -Drama/Action Adventure. Joshua starred in several more including “Battle Creek” in 2015, “11.22.63” in 2016, “Unsolved” in 2018 and “Jupiter’s Legacy” in 2020. Joshua started a romantic affair with bandmember Fergie (Stacy Ann Ferguson) in September 2004 after the band The Black Eyed Peas appeared on his show dubbed “Las Vegas. IN January, 2009, they got married in Malibu, California. IN 2017, the couple announced their separation and filed their divorce in June 2019. The divorce proceedings were finalized in November 2019.
