M. Night Shyamalan is an Indian-American screenwriter, producer, director and filmmaker. His net worth is estimated at approximately $80 million. His name is synonymous with directing thrillers. The prolific director earned over $3 billion at the global box office.
M. Night Shyamalan gained the stature of a prolific director directing films such as “The Sixth Sense”. M. Night Shyamalan had directed several films, some successful, others not very successful. he doubles as an actor, producer and screenwriter.

Early Life
Manoj Nelliyattu Shyamalan was born on August 6th, 1970 in Mahé, Pondicherry, India. His parents were both doctors. His family moved to the United States when he was just a six weeks old baby.
Manoj was raised in Penn Valley, Pennsylvania. He attended a Roman Catholic Grammar School notwithstanding being brought up the Hindu way. His passion for filming became evident at a very young age. He created 45 home movies at the age of 17.
He gained a merit scholarship to New York University in 1988. Manoj veered off his father’s course when he took to filmmaking. He adopted “M. Night” as a professional name whiles at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York.

Career
In 1992, M. Night Shyamalan produced his first film titled “Praying with Anger” whiles at college. His next film, “Wild Awake” was not exactly a success. It raked in a paltry $305,704 vis-à-vis a $6 million budget.
Manoj’s breakthrough came in 1999 with “The Sixth Sense”. The film raked in over $672 million, the second film to achieve such a feat. The movie got nominated for a number of awards. M. Night Shyamalan over the next four years released “Unbreakable”, “Signs” and “The Village”.
Manoj’s fortunes took a major nosedive with the release pf “Lady in the Water” in 2006. The film was a major financial failure. This led to a general loss of confidence in his works by major Hollywood studios. Manoj salvaged some of his lost reputation with “The Visit” in 2015. His next film, “Split” was even better as it raked over $278 million.
M. Night Shyamalan has also worked on series like Apple TV’s “Servant” and “wayward Pines”. He owns Blinding Edge Pictures

Personal Life
M. Night Shyamalan has been married to Dr. Bhavna Vaswani, a woman she met while studying at New York University. The couple have three children together.
