Mark Ingram II Early Life
On December 21, 1989, Ingram II was born in New Jersey to American parents Mark Ingram Sr. And Shonda Ingram. His father played wide receiver for the New York Giants and was a prodigy. Ingram II attended Flint Southwestern Academy for his senior year after attending Grand Blanc Community High School for his first, second, and third years of high school. He was a four-year starter for the football teams at his secondary institutions, and in his final two seasons, he ran for 2,546 yards and 38 touchdowns. He received an athletics scholarship to attend the University of Alabama, where he played football for the Alabama Crimson Tide from 2008 to 2010.
As a freshman, he ran for 728 yards and 12 touchdowns. In his sophomore season, he ran for 1,658 yards and 17 touchdowns and added 334 receiving yards and 3 more scores. In addition to the 875 yards on 158 carries and 13 scores he had at the end of his junior season in 2010, he also had 282 yards and a score from receiving. He declared on January 6, 2011, that he was forgoing his senior year to join the 2011 NFL Draft.

Mark Ingram II Career
Ingram was chosen by the New Orleans Saints with the 28th overall selection in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Later, he and the Saints came to terms on a four-year deal that included a fifth year option and three assured years. A $3.89 million signing incentive was included in the $7.41 million contract value. He had 474 rushing yards and five scores at the end of his rookie campaign. He had a total of 602 rushing yards and five rushing scores in the 2012 season. He completed the 2013 campaign with 386 yards gained through the air and one rushing touchdown.
He completed the 2014 NFL season with 1,109 yards from scrimmage, a career high. (964 rushing yards and 145 receiving yards). After the season, he received his first Pro Bowl nod of his career. Ingram and the Saints came to an agreement on a four-year, $16 million contract in March 2015. He broke the rules regarding performance-enhancing substances in May 2018, which resulted in a suspension for the first four games of the season. He committed to the Baltimore Ravens in March 2019 under a three-year, $15 million deal. He completed the season with 26 receptions for 247 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns in addition to 1,018 rushing yards and ten rushing scores.
He was released by the Ravens in January 2021. He committed to the Houston Texans in March, agreeing to a $2.5 million deal that included a $500,000 signing bonus. He was returned to the New Orleans Saints in a deal in October. He completed the 2021 season with 27 receptions for 162 receiving yards, 160 carries for 554 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns. Injured Reserve status was given to him on December 14, 2022. Chelsea Peltin-Brown, a seasoned fitness model, is his wife. They got married in 2017 and have four children together, who go by the names Myla, Mila, Mark, and Mayla.
