Maureen McCormick
Maureen McCormick is an American actress, singer and author. As at 2022, her net wealth is estimated at $4 million. The American actress is popularly known for her role as Marcia Brady on ABC sitcom, “The Brady Bunch”. Maureen has featured in over 80 films. A few of them are; “Pony Express Rider”, “Return to Horror High”, “Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star”, “Teen Angel”, “Passions” among others.
The actress played the role of “Wendy Darling” in the production of “Peter Pan”. In 1995, she released the country music album, “When You Get a Little Lonely”. In 2008, Maureen published “The New York Times” Best Seller “Here’s the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice”.
Early Life
Maureen McCormick was born on August 5, 1956 in Los Angeles, California. She was born Maureen Denise McCormick. Her parents were Richard and Irene McCormick. She was brought up in a Catholic household with her older brothers; Dennis, Michael and Kevin.
In 1964, at the very tender age of 6 she was Baby Miss San Fernando Valley. Maureen graduated from William Howard Taft High School. The young genius started featuring in TV commercials for Chatty Cathy as well as Barbie dolls.
Career
Maureen began her in the mid 1960s guest-starring “Bewitched”. This was immediately followed by “I Dream of Jeannie” in 1966 as well as “My Three Sons” in 1967. She had her maiden guest-star as Marcia Brady on “The Brady Bunch”. The talented actress featured in several films including; “The ABC Saturday Superstar Movie”, “The Brady Kids”, “The Brady Bunch Hour”, “The Brady Girls Get Married”, “The Brady Brides”, “A Very Brady Christmas”, “Day by Day”.
In 1972, Maureen released solo singles; “Teeny Weeny Bit (Too Long)”,”Truckin’ Back to You”, “Little Bird (Sing Your Song)”, “Just A Singin’ Alone”, “Love’s in the Roses”, and “Harmonize”. She made her maiden film appearance in the 1976’s featuring in; “Pony Express Rider”, “Moonshine County Express”, “Take Down”, ), “The Love Boat”, “Fantasy Island”, among others. She featured in “Title to Murder” in 2001, “Title to Murder” in 2001, “Jane White Is Sick & Twisted” in 2002.
Personal Life
On Mach 16th, 1985 Maureen got married to Michael Cummings. The couple welcomed their Natalie their daughter on May 19th, 1989. McCormick got hooked onto cocaine to the extent that it was rumored that she exchanged sex for drugs. Her marriage to Cummings was a timely intervention as it saved Maureen from drug addiction.
After refusal to get on medication owing to her experience with Dr. Eugene Landy who she claimed put her on multiple drugs she finally agreed to try medication. Maureen made a very frank admission that antidepressants made a marked improvement in her life.
