Michael Pittman Jr. NFL Early Life

Pittman was born on October 5, 1997, to Michael Pittman Sr., a former NFL running back and Super Bowl winner, and Kristin Randall in Bakersfield, California, in the United States. Pittman Sr. Was a member of the Tampa Bay Bucs team that won the 2002 Super Bowl. Pittman’s younger sibling, Mycah Pittman, plays wide receiver for the Florida State Seminoles in football. As a student, he went to Valencia High School; for his sophomore, junior, and senior years, he went to Oaks Christian School.

He caught 81 passes for 1,990 yards and 24 touchdowns as a senior, earning first-team All-America honors from Parade and Max Preps. He also took part in the All-American Bowl. He caught 16 passes for 354 yards and 5 touchdowns in the final contest of his high school career. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at the University of Southern California, where he played college football for the USC Trojans. He caught six passes for 82 yards as a true rookie while also forcing a fumble, returning kicks for 31 yards, blocking punts, and returning kickoffs for 63 yards.

He had 23 receptions for 404 yards and two scores in his sophomore season, along with a punt return for a score and a blocked punt on special teams. He recorded 41 receptions for 758 yards and six scores as a junior. After the season, Pittman debated skipping his final season of eligibility in order to join the 2019 NFL Draft, but he decided to stay for his senior year after the NFL Draft Advisory Board gave him a third-round grade.

Pittman was chosen by the Indianapolis Colts with the 34th overall selection in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. On September 13, 2020, he played in his first game as a professional, catching two receptions for ten yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Due to compartment syndrome in his calf, he was put on injured reserve on October 3, 2020, and was activated on October 31. He had 40 receptions for 503 yards at the end of his rookie campaign.

Pittman was dismissed in the third quarter of a 2021 game against the New England Patriots in Week 14 because of his participation in a brawl with Kyle Dugger, a Patriots safety. He was selected as a 2022 Pro Bowl reserve in December of 2021. Pittman became the sixth Colts pass catcher to surpass 1,000 receiving yards in a season since 2000 in the Colts’ Week 17 defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders. Along with his football success, he and his wife Kianna Galli co-own the “Michael Pittman Jr.” YouTube channel. Pittman and his wife had Mila, their first child, on May 27, 2021.
