Nick Chubb Early Life
Chubb was born on December 27, 1995, to Henry and Lavelle Chubb in Cedartown, Georgia, in the United States. He has two older siblings who play football. Zach played defensive back for Air Force, while his other older brother, Henry played cornerback at Troy University. Henry, his father, was a football player at Valdosta State. He played football at Cedartown High School and as a junior, his 2,721 rushing yards and 38 touchdowns led the state of Georgia. He amassed 2,690 yards and 41 touchdowns in his final year. With 6,983 rushing yards and 102 rushing touchdowns, he completed his high school career.

After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Georgia where he played collegiate football for the Georgia Bulldogs. He participated in 13 games, earning eight starts, and rushed for 1,547 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2014. He had 92 carries for 747 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2015. He was given the Leon Farmer Award that year. He started 11 of the 13 games he appeared in in 2016 and was one of the four overall team captains for the campaign. He participated in all 15 games as a senior in 2017, making 15 starts, and was one of the four permanent team captains. He studied Applied Economics and Agriculture at the university.

With the 35th overall pick in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns selected Chubb. He agreed to a $3.4 million signing bonus as part of a four-year rookie contract in June that was worth approximately $7.4 million. In addition to 20 receptions for 149 receiving yards and two scores, he concluded his first season with 192 carries for 996 rushing yards. He ended his second season of football in 2019 with 1,494 running yards, eight touchdowns, and 36 receptions for 278 yards. He had the second-most rushing yards on the squad (1,494). In the NFL Top 100 Players of 2020 list, he was voted 36th by his fellow players.
With 1,067 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns for the 2020 season, he had a successful season. Chubb extended his deal with the Browns for a third year and $36.6 million in July 2021. One of the five Cleveland Browns players chosen for the NFL Pro Bowl in December, he played for the team. He finished the 2021 season with 174 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown on top of his 1,259 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns.
He also had 20 receptions. He was placed 33rd among his teammates on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2022 and ended second in the League in rushing yards. His 141 rushing yards on 22 carries in a victory over the Carolina Panthers marked a great start to the 2022 season. Nick Chubb is not married and does not have any children yet.
