In January 1989, Foles was born in Texas, a state in the United States, to restaurateurs Larry and Melissa Foles. He played football for Westlake High School, where he started two seasons. Drew Brees, a foe of Foles’ in the NFL, had previously held most of the school marks he broke with his 5,658 passing yards and 56 touchdowns. After graduating in 2007, he decided to spend a year at Michigan State University. From 2008 to 2011, he played college football for the Arizona Wildcats football squad after transferring to the University.

His freshman year in 2008 had to be redshirted, and he began the remainder of the season in 2009, finishing 260 of 409 pass attempts for 2,486 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. With 3,191 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions, he completed his junior year in 2010. He completed 387 of his 560 attempts for 4,334 yards and 28 scores in 2011. In 2011, he earned a degree in communication from the University of Arizona.

The Philadelphia Eagles selected Nick Foles with the 88th overall selection in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. On May 21, 2012, he agreed to a four-year deal with the group. He threw just 2 interceptions and 27 touchdown strikes during the regular 2013 season. The Eagles transferred Nick Foles to the St. Louis Rams in March 2015.
