Paul Dano is an American actor. He started his film career with Broadway in 2000. Paul was adorned with several enviable achievements between 2001 and 2007. He got nominated for the BAFTA Awards for the best supporting actor category.
Dano continued to receive awards for his work. “12 Years a Slave”, “Alex Jones in Prisoners”, were some of the works for which he received recognition. He received a PrimeTime Emmy Award nomination in 2018 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie.

Early Life
Paul Dano was born on June 19th, 1984 in New York City, New York. His parents were Paul A. Dano, a financial advisor and Glady, a homemaker. He has a younger sibling called Sarah. Her early formative years were spent in New York City.
Paul started his education at Browning School before his family moved to New Canaan, Connecticut. He continued his school at Wilton High School graduating in 2002. Paul then went to Eugene Lang College in New York City. His involvement in community theatre coupled with her performances made her parents take her to New York for her skill to be properly honed.

Career
Dano made his debut in the revival of “Inherit the Wind”. He had a cameo in the sitcom Smart Guy in 2000. Dano had his first major role in L.I.E at the age of sixteen. Dano has featured in several films including, “The Emperor’s Club”, “Taking Lives”, “The Girl Next Door”, earning several recognition for his work.
His role in the comedic drama, “Little Miss Sunshine” as Dwayne catapulted him to even greater heights. Dano received a BAFTA nomination in 2007 for his dual role. Dano’s performance got him included in its Hot List for 2007 describing his performance as “Daniel Day-Lewis + Billy Crudup × Johnny Depp”.
Dano featured in “Knight and Day” and “Cowboys and Aliens”. Dano got his first shot at directing with the movie, “Wildlife”. He played Hank Thompson in “Swiss Army Man. The movie was premiered at the Sundane Film Festival receiving generally favorable reviews. he featured in the widely talked about Broadway revival of Sam Shepard’s True West.
Paul Dano featured in “The Fabelmans” a film based on Spielberg’s own life. Dano has played varied roles between 2020 and now.

Personal Life
Dano has been involved in a romantic relationship with actress and screenwriter Zoe Kazan since 2007. They welcomed their daughter in August 2018. They were blessed with a son in October 2022. They live happily in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.
