Rachael Ray happens to be an American chef, author, businesswoman, and television personality. Early in her career, she started working at Sutton’s Marketplace in New York, and later she offered to do commercials for the business. She was still praising the restaurant, highlighting the grilled raisin bread and cider doughnuts in particular. In 1995, when Macy’s tried to promote her to a buyer position in accessories, she switched to Agata & Valentina, a specialized food retailer. She had previously been a candy counter employee at Macy’s Marketplace. She later served as manager of the Mister Brown’s Pub at the The Sagamore hotel in Lake George. She subsequently held a purchasing position at the upscale grocery store Cowan & Lobel. She gave lessons to students on how to prepare meals under 30 minutes.

She was asked to participate in a weekly news segment by the local CBS-TV station WRGB because of the success of her “30 Minute Meals” workshops. This led to her first Food Network contract and appearance on the Today show in 2001, as well as other events including the publication of her first book and a public radio broadcast. She hosted 30 Minute Meals on the Food Network for 11 seasons between 2001 and 2012. The program will debut a new season in 2019. In 2005, she consented to host a syndicated daytime TV conversation show. Rachael Ray made its broadcast debut on September 18, 2006. New York City is where the show is filmed.

As a spokesperson in November 2006, Rachael was employed by Nabisco Crackers. For several Nabisco products, she appears in advertising and on the product packaging. Numerous cartons with her picture contain her recipes. In May 2007, “Rachael Ray Recipes on the Run” made her recipes available on AT&T mobile phones. The Oxford American College Dictionary included the phrase “extra-virgin olive oil” that year, and it was recognized that Rachael had contributed to its promotion. On January 12, 2008, the Food Network hosted her television debut of Rachael’s Vacation. A five-part culinary travelogue shot all around Europe.
