Ray Liotta was an American actor, producer and director. He has approximately $14 million in net worth at the time of his demise. Liotta rose to iconic status after he played the lead character in Martin Scorsese’s movie, “Good Fellas”. Ray Liotta passed sadly on May 26, 2022 at the age of 67. Liotta passed in his sleep in the Dominican Republic where he was domiciled during the production of a film.

Raymond Allen Liotta was born on December 18, 1954 in Newark, New Jersey. Ray and his sister were adopted by American-Italian parents before he later tracked down his biological mother and realized he is of Scottish ancestry. He and his sister were brought up in a predominantly Catholic setting. They however, were not regular at church.
Liotta attended Union High School and graduated in 1973. He then went to the University of Miami where he studied acting. Ray graduated with a degree in fine arts as well as performed as musical productions organized by the school.

Liotta relocated to New York City after college. While in New York, he worked as a bartender for a theatre in New York. Liotta rose quickly to success in television after acting the character of Joey Perrini on “Another World” from 1978 to 1981. Liotta made the decision to relocate to Los Angeles and focus fully on films. Some of his works include “The Lonely Lady” and “Something Wild”. Something Wild won Liotta a Golden Globe nomination for her role. He had another massive role in 1989 when he acted the ghost of Shoeless Joe Jackson in “Field of Dreams”. Liotta perhaps had her major break in 1990 when she was cast as head in the mafia movie, “Good Fellas”. The film was a huge commercial success grossing in excess of $46 million just the US. It is considered the best film of the year and undoubtedly the greatest movies of all time. The 1990s saw Liotta featured in a number of high-profile roles in films like “Unlawful Escape”, “No escape”, “Unforgettable”, “Cop Land” and “Phoenix”. He was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for acting Frank Sinatra in “Rat Pack”.

He was married to Michelle Grace who was previously married to former baseball player Mark Gracy. The marriage between Liotta and Michelle was from 1997 to 2004.
