Liotta passed in his sleep in the Dominican Republic where he was domiciled during the production of a film.

Raymond Allen Liotta was born on December 18, 1954 in Newark, New Jersey. Ray and his sister were adopted by American-Italian parents before he later tracked down his biological mother and realized he is of Scottish ancestry. He and his sister were brought up in a predominantly Catholic setting. They however, were not regular at church.
Liotta attended Union High School and graduated in 1973. He then went to the University of Miami where he studied acting. Ray graduated with a degree in fine arts as well as performed as musical productions organized by the school.

Liotta perhaps had her major break in 1990 when she was cast as head in the mafia movie, “Good Fellas”. The film was a huge commercial success grossing in excess of $46 million just the US. It is considered the best film of the year and undoubtedly the greatest movies of all time. The 1990s saw Liotta featured in a number of high-profile roles in films like “Unlawful Escape”, “No escape”, “Unforgettable”, “Cop Land” and “Phoenix”.
