Wide receiver Russell Gage Jr. Plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League in American football (NFL). Since 2018, Gage has been involved with the NFL.

Russell Gage – Early Life

Gage was born on January 22, 1996, to Alisa and Russell Gage Sr. In Louisiana, the United States. He attended Redemptorist High School, where he played high school football. As a junior, he ran for 1,018 yards and 14 touchdowns while completing 69 of 141 throws for 740 yards. He had 65 total defensive tackles as a senior and eight interceptions. He attended Louisiana State University after high school, where he played college football for the LSU Tigers from 2014 to 2017.

His first two seasons were spent as a defensive back. In addition to being employed as a running back and receiver during his senior season, which resulted in four touchdowns on 49 touches, he was appointed LSU’s permanent team captain in 2017. In his role as a special teams gunner, he made 11 tackles as well. At LSU, he focused on multidisciplinary studies.

The 194th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft went to the Atlanta Falcons, who selected Gage in the sixth round. He caught his first career pass for a gain of six yards in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played in 15 games as a rookie for a squad with a strong receiver corps, recording six grabs for 63 yards in total. His first professional receiving touchdown was against the New Orleans Saints in Week 13 of the 2019 campaign. He had 49 receptions for 446 receiving yards overall towards the end of the 2019 season. In his first home game against the Seattle Seahawks on September 13, he had 114 receiving yards on nine receptions, marking his breakthrough performance.

Gage committed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March 2022, signing a three-year, $30 million deal. He was placed on injured reserve for five weeks, and in a Week 3 loss to the Green Bay Packers, he set a career high with 12 receptions for 87 yards and a score. The Week 14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals marked his first multi-touchdown game of his career. During a playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys in January 2023, he was taken off the field after suffering a neck injury. He still hasn’t joined the competition. Gage is not yet married but has a fiance called K. Geo. The two have been together for sw months now and are set to get married.
