Ramczyk was born April 22, 1994 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, United States to Randy and Lori Ramczyk. Huge sports fanatic is his father. Ramczyk played high school football while he was a student at Stevens Point Area Senior High School. In 2011, the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association named him to their First Team All-State, and they invited him to participate in the WFCA All-Star Game in Oshkosh in 2012.
He first registered for one semester at Madison Area Technical College after high school, and then for another semester at Stevens Point’s Mid-State Technical College. He changed universities in 2013 and joined the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where he played for the Pointers football squad. He participated in all 10 games of what was officially his freshman season and was selected to the Second Team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
He was named to the First Team All-WIAC the following year. Ramczyk made contact after Paul Chryst was named head coach at Wisconsin-Madison and chose to leave. He missed the 2015 season because of NCAA transfer regulations, but he was designated the left tackle starter for 2016. On November 30, 2016, he received the First Team All-Big Ten honor.

Ramczyk was invited to the NFL Combine but could only lift weights on the bench press because of a hip issue. He was chosen by the New Orleans Saints in the first round, 32nd overall, of the 2017 NFL Draft. On September 11, 2017, he played in his first NFL game against the Minnesota Vikings in the regular-season start. He began the season at left tackle, becoming the first newcomer for the Saints to do so since Jim Dombrowski in 1986. The first four games, he began on the left tackle position. After Zach Strief’s season-ending leg injury, he switched to right tackle. Following that, he made 12 starts at right tackle and was selected for the PFWA All-Rookie Team.
He was chosen to the Second Team and received his first All-Pro honors following the 2018 season. He was named to the First Team All-Pro right tackle after the 2019 season after allowing no quarterback sacks and earning the highest offensive tackle rating from Pro Football Focus. The Saints chose to activate Ramczyk’s fifth-year option in 2020. He extended his Saints deal for five years and $96 million in June 2021, with guaranteed payments of $60 million. Rochell Jakubek is the woman he married. They haven’t had kids yet.
