Early Life
Sylvester Stallone was born on 6th July, 1946 in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. He was born Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone to Italian-born Francesco “Frank” Stallone Sr. and Jackie Stallone an astrologer and dancer. His younger brother, Frank Stallone is an actor and musician. His iconic “snarling” look and slightly slurred speech owes to complications at childbirth.
He spent a part of his childhood in foster as a result of his parents’ volatile relationship which finally lead to divorce later on. He studied drama at the American College in Switzerland before he moved to Miami. He dropped out of school while pursuing his degree and moved to New York City to pursue career in acting.
Career
Sylvester Stallone’s debut role was in “The Party at Kitty” a softcore adult film which he said he did out desperation after being ejected from his apartment. He received $200 for his two days work. He cut his teeth in acting with minor and uncredited roles in a number of films. He had passion for screenwriting.
Drawing inspiration from Muhammad Ali versus Chuck Wepner fight, he couched a screenplay about a struggling underdog thug who had ambitions to become a professional boxer. He was fixated on being the star of the film for which reason he refused to sell the script unless he was made the star.
He later found Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff who were willing to allow him play the lead role of Rocky Balboa. The release of “Rocky ” in 1976, metamorphosed him into an A-list instantly. The film was a major box office breakthrough making a whopping $117 million as well as ten Academy Award nominations.

Personal Life
Sylvester Stallone married Sasha Czack in 1974. They had two sons namely Sage Moonblood (died of heart disease at age 36) and Seargeoh. The couple divorced in 1985. He got married to Brigitte Nielson from 1985 to 1997.
Sylvester found love again in 1997. He married Jennifer Flavin. The couple had three daughters namely Sophie, Sistine and Scarlet.
