Early Life

Bridgewater was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons with the Vikings, where he quickly became known for his accuracy and ability to read defenses. In his second season, he led the Vikings to a 11-5 record and a playoff appearance.

After suffering a severe knee injury in 2016, Bridgewater was traded to the New York Jets, where he spent one season as the team’s backup quarterback. He then signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2018, where he served as the backup to Drew Brees. In 2019, Bridgewater was given the opportunity to start several games for the Saints when Brees was injured, and he performed exceptionally well, leading the team to five wins and only one loss.

In 2020, Bridgewater signed with the Carolina Panthers as their starting quarterback. He had a solid season, completing over 69% of his passes and throwing for over 3,700 yards.
