Todd Bridges was born on January 6, 1965 in San Francisco, California. His parents are James Sr. (a talent agent) and Betty Alice Pryoy (an actress and director). His older brother, Jimmy later on became an actor.
Bridges had his first appearance on television in 1975 when she made an appearance in an episode of “Barney Miller” an ABC sitcom. Bridges during that same year played roles in the television movies “The Orphan and the Dude” and “Katherine”. Bridges acted the character of Little Walter in one episode of the crime drama anthology series “Police Story”.

The year 1977 was a breakthrough year for Bridges. He appeared in an episode of “Little House on the Prairie” as well as acted Bud Harvey on the notable mini series “Roots”. That same year, he was in the television movie, “A Killing Affair” before landing a main role on “Fish” a spinoff of “Barney Miller” acting the role of one of the racially mixed children of a pair of foster parents topping it with an appearance in episodes of “The Waltons” and “The Love Boat”.
