Zachary David Alexander Efron was born on October 18th, 1987 in California. Zac was brought up with his brother in Arroyo Grande. His name Efron is quite deceptive as it points to a Jewish root as he was raised in a predominantly agnostic home.
He began featuring in his High school musical productions. Zac took part in theatre companies outside of school taking singing lessons alongside him. The year 2006 was a major milestone for Zac, it saw the release of High School Musical.
